HEALTH TIP: Step Outside! Grab yourself some of the sunshine vitamin D. Take a tip from the birds hitch hike towards the equator for the winter. Yes too much is bad for your skin but not enough could be even worse. Nothing is ever that simple - there is a new study that suggests that sunshine slows melanoma growth - remember everything in moderation.

HEALTH TIP: INCLUDE BEANS OR LENTILS IN YOUR DIET
Some vegetarians tend to ignore the Beans/Lentils/Legumes food group.  While it is possible to construct a healthy vegetarian diet with beans or lentils, most vegetarians could benefit from the protein, iron, folate, fiber and minerals found in these nutritional powerhouses.  This food group is particularly important for women, who are at a higher risk of anemia.

Day 2 of week 2 in our new location and we are loving the new spot, scenery and of course serving you daily.  Please take some time to visit our blog and facebook page and share with us your thoughts and pictures of your lunch from us.

We use all fresh fruits and vegetables in the preparation of our daily menu.

HEALTH TIP:
Deep breathing is important and practicing deep breathing can help energized, relieve stress and even reduce digestive disorders.

BREATHING EXERCISE:
If you want to get a feel for this challenging work, try your hand at breath counting, a deceptively simple technique much used in Zen practice.

Sit in a comfortable position with the spine straight and head inclined slightly forward. Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then let the breath come naturally without trying to influence it. Ideally it will be quiet and slow, but depth and rhythm may vary.

  • To begin the exercise, count "one" to yourself as you exhale.
  • The next time you exhale, count "two," and so on up to "five."
  • Then begin a new cycle, counting "one" on the next exhalation.

Never count higher than "five," and count only when you exhale. You will know your attention has wandered when you find yourself up to "eight," "12," even "19."

Try to do 10 minutes of this form of meditation.
